Thanks to the Transparency International-Pakistan, it was an honour to interact with the members of the National Assembly and the Senate of Pakistan on challenges and opportunities of climate governance in Pakistan. A very engaging discussion, with their valuable suggestions, ended with wrap up by the Chairperson of the NA Standing Committee on Climate Change and Environmental Coordination. It was agreed that the parliamentary oversight of climate actions and financing be strengthened and the Council of Common Interests should play an active role in reducing vertical fragmentation on existential threat of climate change.
