Dr. Khan has more than 25 years of management, technical, research and advisory experience in environmental management, climate change, sustainable energy development, natural resources management, waste management, biodiversity conservation, agriculture, food security and community‐based natural resource management in Bangladesh. It also includes teaching experience at the undergraduate and post‐ graduate levels. Also, has accumulated national and international consultancy experience with various national and international agencies. He is PhD in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from the University of Manitoba, Canada. Being a civil servant in Bangladesh, currently he is adjunct faculty at the University of Manitoba.
His key experiences include senior level public sector experience in Bangladesh; climate change negotiation, adaptation, mitigation, finance, technology and capacity building; donors liaison, stakeholder engagement and consensus building; national, regional and international research program; participatory project design, planning, management, M&E and project implementation.
