
Dr Agha understands and international trade and policy landscape with a rich experience and knowledge. As ex-head of Customs, enjoying repute of professionalism and reforms, he brings in a rare value for this assignment. Dr. Agha understands the friction points where marketing meets regulation. He can discern whether an exhibition failed due to poor TDAP marketing or due to downstream tariff/non-tariff barriers. He pioneered “WeBOC” which show his ability to link Exhibition promises to Customs realities, which is the ultimate “Impact Assessment” tool.
His work with USAID & ITC (Geneva) validates his ability to deliver the “International Benchmarking” component of the TORs with authority. His role as International Team Lead for USAID’s Green Customs and ITC’s Trade Facilitation projects ensures that our benchmarking against Singapore, Japan, and the UK is not theoretical, but based on active, working relationships with global trade bodies.
As head of a stream of ReMIT project, he has lead formation of national roadmap and strategies in many areas of international trade domains, including trade facilitation, SME promotion, risk management etc.
Dr. Agha has extensive credentials in coordinating, organizing and leading events (public sector, trade, SME’s & private stakeholders) at the domestic and international level in the realm of trade promotion, facilitation and e-governance.
