Engr. Asad Mahmood is a Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of experience in climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy efficiency, decarbonisation, carbon markets, and sustainable development. He is associated with several professional bodies, including IEC/ISO JTC1, CMIP7 Energy Consumption and Carbon Footprint Task Team, FPCCI Advisory Committee on Energy, and PEC’s Green Building Code Committee. He is a Certified Productivity Specialist and Trainer from the Asian Productivity Organization and holds certifications related to ISO 14064, ISO 50001, and IFC EDGE Expert & Auditor programs.
He works as a freelance consultant/adviser with leading development partners on projects related to Decarbonisation, carbon markets, energy audits, climate-smart agriculture, Green Climate Fund, CBAM, Net Zero, and localised climate adaptation plans. He leads ESG Nexus and Global Tech Innovations platforms and serves on technical panels of private consulting firms. He received the Productivity Technical Expert National Award 2024 by Asian Productivity Organization Japan and Pakistan’s civil award, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2021.
