Asad Mahmood is a mechanical engineer by profession with more than 18 years of experience in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector. He has remained part of different public, private and development partners initiatives. He has spearheaded different energy and climate change related interventions. As trainer/consultant, he has conducted numerous onsite and classroom-based customised and general training on various topics pertaining to energy efficiency, mitigation, GHG reporting, climate change adaptation plans and clean technologies across Pakistan and abroad. He is a Certified Productivity Specialist and Certified Trainer on Green Productivity and Energy Efficiency from APO Tokyo Japan.He is member of different professional bodies and presently working as a freelance consultant/adviser for different activities pertaining to the Green Climate Fund, Net Zero, Science Based Targets Initiative, power sector improvement, carbon markets and localized climate change adaptation action plans.
He has been conferred upon Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan for his meritorious services in the energy sector.
