Empowerment of Women with  Disabilities Case Study (Aug–Sep 2020)

The UN Women Pakistan has assigned the dev~consult to conduct end of project evaluation of the Moving from Charity Model to Rights-based Work – Delivering as ONE for Empowerment of Women with Disabilities. Financed through UN’s core funds, the project was implemented from 2018 to 2020 in Karachi and Peshawar districts by Handicap International and the relevant government departments and agencies.

Economic Empowerment of Women Project Evaluation (Jul–Aug 2020)

The UN Women Pakistan has engaged the dev~consult to conduct end of project evaluation of the Economic Empowerment of Women Homebased Workers and Excluded Groups in Pakistan. The project was implemented from 2017 to 2020 in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh provinces through HomeNet Pakistan (HNP), Center of Excellence for Rural Development (CERD), Akhuwat and the relevant government departments and agencies.

Strengthening REDD+ for RBPs in Pakistan (Jul–Sep 2020)

The assignment entails finalisation of a concept note on Strengthening REDD+ for Result-based Payments (RBPs) in Pakistan, to be submitted to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) by the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP). With a budget of USD 10 million, the project will pilot REDD+ approach in selected areas of Pakistan and strengthen capacity of the Ministry of Climate Change to apply for RBPs.

Baseline Ecological Survey & Biodiversity Action Plan (Apr–Sep 2020)

Building upon our earlier assignment for Greater Thal Canal Irrigation Investment Programme (GTCIIP) in 2019, the Landell Mills has again sub-contracted the dev~consult for conducting second baseline ecological survey of the command area of the Greater Thal Canal, and also developing the Biodiversity Action Plan for the resaved rangelands (rakhs) in the same area. The activity is part of developing the environmental safeguards documents for the ADB’s Transactional Technical Assistance for GTCIIP.

Provincial Strategy for Inclusive and  Sustainable Urban Growth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Feb 2018 – Dec 2020)

Our joint venture, led by SaafConsult, B.V., has been awarded development of the Provincial Strategy for Inclusive and Sustainable Urban Growth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which is supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). To be developed through an extensive consultative process and field observations, the deliverables include: (1) sector roadmap for inclusive and sustainable urban growth in KP, (2) City Development Plans (CDPs) for Abbottabad, Kohat, Mardan and Peshawar, and (3) pilot trainings programme.
