Siddiq Ahmed Khan

He has been associated with the development sector for more than 30 years. He served in different positions with international organisations of repute, including WaterAid, Save the Children (UK and US), UNDP/UNOPS, Plan International, IUCN (The World Conservation Union) and GIZ (German Agency for Technical Cooperation). He has performed in and managed multidisciplinary teams very effectively. He has very strong programme/project management, grants management, strategic planning and networking skills which have been effectively used in various assignments. Designing and initiating new programmes with a track of successful completion has been attained as a specialisation. He has planned and led high level successful interventions in collaboration with governments such as Clean Green Pakistan, Single National Curriculum and made the Aab-e-Pak Authority functional in the Punjab province.

Management and Organisational Development

Built and successfully led high performing teams in several INGOs; performed in multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams quite effectively. Have managed programmes in extremely insecure and challenging operational environment during ‘war on terror’. Have very strong financial and resource management background. Have expanded and strengthened organisations from almost scratch to high performing and reputed organisations. Hold strong analytical and assessment capacity to identify strengths and gaps and to develop systems for effectiveness and efficiency.

Humanitarian Response

Started my career for a relief project for Afghan Refugees in 1989. Managed swift emergency relief for the flash flood affectees in Dadar/Mansehra in 2001. Initiated rescue and relief activities in October 08, 2005 earthquake. Developed and made functional M&E system of the largest emergency response of Save the Children in 2010. Supported and guided the floods emergency responses in Pakistan.  

Strategic Planning

Expertise in strategic planning for organisations and programmes. Lead and participated in the development of global and country strategies. Have very good understanding and hands on experience of using Theory of Change, LFA, ZOPP and RBM.

Project Proposal Development and Institutional Assessment

Developed several funding proposals. Have extensively assessed institutions for funding proposals of CSOs and Government Ministries and Departments.

Networking

Have very strong networking skills, which have been used throughout the professional career with measurable outcomes. 

Monitoring and Evaluation

Experience in developing effective M&E systems for internal use of the organisations and consortiums.
